This is a special announcement to announce the newly elected executives that were elected in our recent annual General Assembly held on October 13th, 2022.
Gabriel Bidner ran against Lauren Fitzerald and was elected as Chair and Executive Coordinator with a total of 9 votes vs 3 for Lauren.
Jennifer Francis ran against Maxime Génion-Perron and was elected as the Internal Relations and Faculty Liaison with a total of 9 votes vs 5 for Maxime.
Lauren Fitzgerald ran against Willam Aylward and was elected as our Accountant and Budget Coordinator with a total of 11 votes vs 3 for William.
Lily Dauriac ran unopposed and was unanimously elected as our Inter-University Liaison.

If anyone is still interested in a position or in helping out with SoPhiA, please contact our Executive Coordinator. Member Association by-elections (through ASFA) will take place in November, so that’s another chance to be elected to a SoPhiA Executive position.
We’re still looking for a journal editor, an academic representative, and an ASFA representative. Come take part in a growing community and a very rewarding experience!
