What is the SoPhiA Review?

The SoPhiA Review is a philosophy undergraduate journal published annually by the Students of Philosophy Association at Concordia. It was conceptualized in the 2013-2014 academic year as The Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy, and was first published in printed form in 2019. Recent journal publishing has sought to bring together literature, prose, and art of a philosophical nature.

What Sorts of Submissions Can I Submit?

We accept:

  • Exegetical works
  • Critical papers
  • Cross-disciplinary papers

We also welcome, so long as philosophical content is substantial:

  • Visual art
  • Creative nonfiction
  • Prose
  • Poems

For instance, we would love work which helps us define, through a philosophical lens, what it means to be human, the human condition, or about anything philosophical in general. Existential, metaphysical, epistemological, ethical works, or anything philosophical is welcome!

Please keep submissions to under 2000 words.

Have an interesting philosophical paper from a course? Submit it to us for our editors to review!
